About Aussie Finance Tools

Free, independent, transparent Australian finance calculators.

What this is

Aussie Finance Tools is an independent project that builds free, easy-to-use calculators for common Australian money questions: what you take home after tax, how GST breaks down, and how your super might grow. There's no sign-up, no paywall, and no data collection.

How the calculators work

Everything runs in your browser. When you type a salary or amount, the calculation happens on your device; your figures are never sent to a server. Each tool explains its method in a "How this is calculated" section and shows the tax year it applies to.

Where the numbers come from

Rates and thresholds come from official Australian Taxation Office (ATO) publications, and every calculator links the exact sources it relies on. When a figure is still being verified against the ATO, we label it clearly so you know to double-check before relying on it.

Who builds this

Aussie Finance Tools is built and maintained by Moiz Rauf, an independent software developer. The calculators are engineering projects first: the goal is to turn the Australian Taxation Office's published rates and thresholds into clear, fast, transparent tools that anyone can check against the source. Every rate on the site links back to the ATO page it comes from, and each tool shows the tax year and a last-reviewed date.

To be clear about what this is and isn't: Moiz Rauf is not a registered tax agent or a licensed financial adviser, and nothing on this site is personal advice. These are general-purpose estimators. For decisions that affect your money, check the ATO directly or speak to a registered professional. Full operator and contact details are on the Impressum.

Our commitment to accuracy

Tax rules change, and these tools are simplified models that can't capture every personal circumstance. We show a "last reviewed" date, keep sources visible, and treat every result as a general estimate. This site does not provide personal financial, tax, or legal advice; for decisions that matter, check with the ATO or a registered professional.
